Armenian Style “Shalom” Ceramic Plate

This intricately designed, hand-made plate features a picture of a dove carrying an olive branch, and the word “Shalom” in English and Hebrew. The dove symbolizes peace.

It was the first animal to venture outside Noah’s Ark after the flood waters had subsided. Noah sent it to seek out inhabitable land. When it returned with an olive branch, he realized that G-d had indeed forgiven the human race and that it was time to reclaim the Earth. (Genesis 8:11)

This plate was designed by a master artist living in Israel. It’s a remarkable present for people of all ages and backgrounds.

Manufacturing Process:

Each individual item is hand made with ceramic clay. Once complete it is placed in an oven at temp. 1000°C until hardened. Each piece is then hand painted using metallic and oxidized paint in order to keep its natural color.

Again it is returned to the oven at the same temperature and finished with fine glazing.
